Please note that becoming a part of Café Nyan’s family requires commitment and patience. Please treat these conditions as a tool to consider whether or not being part of the Nyan family will work for you. These conditions are not meant to maliciously insult or offend anyone wishing to join, but prevent unnecessary complications from creating in the room.

Hiring Conditions

The applicant must first wait until the room is open for hiring. To express interest, the applicant must fill in the Application Form. If the owner is away, the applicant should receive an email requesting a one on one interview with another staff. Upon presence of the owner, the interview will be organised as soon as possible with Sinominé.

During the interview, the interviewer is required to fill in the Applicant Criteria Checklist. If they are not already doing so, it is the applicant's responsibility to remind the interviewer to fill this form in. Otherwise, it would be a waste of time to do an interview that the owner will never see.

 

In the interview, the applicant will be asked questions about their details and regarding their interest in working for the café. The interview will also test the applicant's knowledge on the basic café rules so it is useful to read the links provided on the right hand side of this page.

 

After the interview, the applicant must wait again to receive another email confirming acceptance of employment. Staff are meticulously selected under a certain criterion, it takes a while to discuss and consider. Upon being accepted, staff must thoroughly reread the the pages listed to the right, this time as a staff in training, to review the criterion expected by the café.

It is then up to the applicant to decide whether or not to proceed with the hiring process. Deciding to proceed will mean that the applicant agrees and swears to comply to these policies and procedures.

The applicant will then undergo a 30-day trial. During this time, the applicant must be on every day for at least 1 hr at a time arranged with the owner under supervision of another staff. The applicant must submit an entrance and a personal bio prior to the first shift of the one month trial. The entrance must be within the standards of the cafe to use in every shift and may request supporting staff for help composing the entrance.

After the trial, the applicant will then be gifted a standard uniform of choice upon joining. It is strictly a mandatory requirement of Café Nyan for staff to wear their uniform every time on duty.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please bear in mind that uniforms in Café Nyan are compulsory as it is part of staff’s duty to maintain a quality roleplay experience. Hence, if one disagrees with this rule, one may be reconsidered from the hiring process.
