Café Nyan is a cat cafe themed hangout and adoption room in IMVU, founded in April 2017, to chill with friends. Independently owned by IMVU's Sinominé, the café occasionally collaborates with Masahiroo's H.C. for advertising and events.
The aim of Café Nyan is for guests to experience the virtual simulation of a cat cafe in IMVU whilst enjoying a good, fun chat with friends, play around with animated nodes and possibly roleplay.
Inspired by European influenced anime, the café ambience is a unique mixture of goth culture, the classy 1880s, and hints of lolita for some added kawaii factor. Default servers are not presented as maids and butlers but elegant and dignified café attendants. Our RP-er staff, however, may choose to portray the latter.
Because we could not literally have cats for adoption, the room doubles as an adoption room for furries, IMVU children and scalies instead. Established rules are focused on keeping the cafe drama-free and to enhance other guests’ room experience.
Overall, Cafe Nyan’s goal is to create a relaxing, homey chat room environment to create fun, genuine and lasting online friendships.
